This is an easy to prepare and cook banana cake.
- 125 grams butter
- 150 grams caster sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed thoroughly
- 1 tsp. banana extract
- ¼ tsp. egg yellow liquid food color.
- 190 grams cake flour
- 60 ml fresh milk
PROCEDURE:
- Preheat oven at 170°C.
- Grease and line a loaf tin pan. Set aside.
- Melt butter, sugar and vanilla in a saucepan over a medium heat.
- Remove from heat and add the mashed bananas, mix thoroughly until slightly lumpy.
- Add the beaten eggs, mix well.
- Gradually pour flour into the mixture while mixing continuously.
- Pour mixture into the earlier prepared loaf tin pan. Leave aside for a while.
- In a small bowl, combine banana extract and food color.
- Pour into mixture in parallel rows. Using a chopstick draw lines from end to end of a pan horizontally and vertically until the desired design appears as you preferred.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a while. You may put frosting or cake icing if wanted.
